Yesterday.
These two photos above and below were taken yesterday travelling through Switzerland. We stopped here on the side of the road and had our lunch which we had brought previously. Top picture looking down over Lake Geneva and below looking up the other way very nice.
Back in Annecy.
Jen good to talk to you and Cody on skype last night. Cody looked so cute smiling when we said his name.
Another perfect hot day, very hot for walking. Not using the car while we are hear. It is nice having an apartment makes a change from hotel rooms, more relaxing. Having the facility to make your own meals.
This morning we have been to the local markets mainly food, to get some supplies for lunch and dinner. Fabulous market full of fresh food.
We returned to the unit for lunch and a cool down, so hot. Getting by with our school French and a few hand signals. France is the easiest country to understand the language.
Shortly going back down town to shoak up some more of the atmosphere wandering through the narrow streets and walking or sitting in the park on the lake edge which is a lovely spot to cool down. Big area of lawn and lots of big old trees really pretty down there.
Annecy lies on the northern tip of Lake Annecy surrounded by mountains, in the Rhone-Alpes region in southern France, 35 Km's south of Geneva.
Photo taken yesterday on our boat trip. Very upmarket restaurant other side of lake. It has three Michelin stars. Lovely setting and no we didn't go there to eat
Around the town through the canals area.

When we went down yesterday the atmosphere was quite different from today being Saturday. A lot quieter yesterday. Today everyone was out all eating and drinking in the outside cafe's and the lake was so busy with all sorts of boats from peddle boats, small run abouts to the big tourist boats. Joe you would love it, but of cause we were very lucky with such great weather, brought everyone out.
Sorry about all the pictures but such a nice area to photograph. We leave here tomorrow. Really enjoyed it.
