Left Tronget at 9.00am travelled about 230km. Tronget was a very sleepy village in the middle of no where. Lucky we pre booked our accom as we hardly saw any accom for the last two days driving through some nice farming countryside. As the hotel was three km of the highway you would have never seen it.
On the way to St Junien we stopped and spent some time in a village called Ballac. At first it didn't look much but explored a bit and found some pretty spots.
Some wild poppies that we see a lot of along the side of the roads.
Below photos around Ballac.
Little old church dated back to 1553.
Prime real estate
When we arrived in Staint Junien we settled into our hotel very nice on the outskirts of town very quite and peaceful called L'Azur Hotel Citotel a modern hotel and wouldn't be very old set in large grounds. Later we went for a drive downtown, stopped and saw some fisherman on the river bank fishing for very small fish only mm not cm long.Slightly bigger than white bait but as you can see in the above photo using huge rods.
We are staying in this town for two nights as we are going to explore tomorrow a place called Oradour-Sur-Glane which is only 12km away which I will tell you all about it tomorrow. We are looking forward to it.
Another shot in Ballac
